Kirsten Chick

Nutritional Therapist

Kirsten Chick (she/her) qualified as a Nutritional Therapist in 2003, and has been practising for over 20 years, alongside lecturing in nutrition at several colleges, including the College of Natural Nutrition, the College of Naturopathic Medicine, East Sussex College and the Northern College of Acupuncture.

She developed and taught the final year module on nutrition and pathophysiology on the FdSc. Complementary Healthcare degree at East Sussex College up until 2023, and has been similarly involved in a variety of nutrition courses and modules, including An Introduction to Integrative Oncology for Healthcare Practitioners for cancer charity Yes to Life.

Kirsten has specialised in cancer nutrition since 2008, and her ongoing commitment to research led her to write a review article on Mushrooms, Gut Microbiota and Cancer in 2024. The research project led to a fast-track MSc. award in Nutrition Science & Practice, and was published in the peer-reviewed European Journal for Integrative Medicine.
She is Nutrition Lead on the Scientific and Medical Advisory Panel for Yes to Life, and also a Council Member for the British Society for Integrative Oncology (BSIO), as well as a member of the British Network of Functional Medicine (BNFM).
